Delhi Air Quality Became Severe After Diwali Celebrations

New Delhi: The air quality in Delhi became severe on Monday for the first time this season after Diwali celebrations. On Monday morning, Delhi’s air quality had particulate matter (PM) at 10 count, which is in the severe category at 476, according to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). There are six AQI categories — good-satisfactory, moderately polluted, poor, very poor, and severe. Each of these categories is decided based on the ambient concentration values of air pollutants and their likely health impacts. (IANS)
