Development of Assamese language discussed

Lakhimpur, October 15: To discuss about the importance and to enhance the value of Assamese language in Assam, Lakhimpur district Xahitya Xabha organized a meeting at the District Sahitya Bhavan on Thursday. Almost all the members of district Xahitya Xabha, including various jourlists and educationists took part in the meeting in which the topic related to the enhancement and development of the Assamese language in the State was discussed. Moreover, the meeting proposed that all government and non-government organizations in Assam should prefer the mother language in their banners by replacing English and Hindi within 60 days.
