The emergency services were alerted at 11.54 am when the hospital's distress call reached the fire department. In response, a team of eight fire tenders rushed to the scene, later joined by an additional contingent of over six fire tenders to effectively extinguish the flames. As the firefighting operations commenced, hospital authorities took the crucial step of evacuating all patients from the emergency ward, ensuring their safety by relocating them to secure areas within the institution.
