Gujarat: Teenage Girl And Her Boyfriend Kills Relative For Allegedly Gossiping About Their Relationship

Gandhinagar: A teenage girl allegedly killed one of her relatives with the help of her boyfriend for allegedly gossiping about their relationship on social occasions.

This incident has taken place in the district of Bhavnagar in Gujarat.

The 17-year old girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend were afraid that the gossips would put a dent in their images and decided to put an end to the gossips by killing the relative.

The victim, identified as Bhumi Dhandhikiya, had reportedly gone missing on September 16. Dhandhikiya was a resident of the Chitra locality in the Bhavnagar district.

On September 19, a complaint of Dhandhkiya's abduction was filed at the Vartej police station. However, the police found Dhandhkiya's decomposed body near a lake in Thordi village on September 23.

After investigating the matter, it was revealed that all the pieces of evidence were pointing at the 17-year-old girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend identified as Kartik Dungraniya.

As per reports, the couple later admitted to committing the crime during interrogation.

As per the police, Dhandhikiya was killed when she attended a social function at Thordi. She was taken to a lake by the couple where she was strangled and stabbed to death.

The decomposed body of Dhandhikiya went unnoticed as her body was located at an isolated spot and there was heavy rainfall during the time.
