Here's How You can Rectify Mistakes in COVID Vaccine Certificate through COWIN App

The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that Covid-19 vaccination recipients may now correct mistakes in their inoculation certificates through the CoWin site. The CoWin platform now includes a new function called "Raise an Issue."

If there is an issue, users can now correct their name, year of birth, and gender on their Covid-19 vaccination certificates. The certificate, however, may only be altered once.

"Now you can make corrections to your name, year of birth and gender on your Cowin vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in. Go to http://cowin.gov.in and 'Raise an Issue'," a tweet on the Aarogya Setu's Twitter handle said.

Here's how to modify your COVID-19 vaccination certificate on the Co-WIN platform:

1. Visit the website www.cowin.gov.in

2. Select 'Register/ Sign In yourself'.

 3. Enter your 10-digit mobile number to sign in.

 4. Proceed to Account Details.

 5. If you've received your first or second dosage, you'll notice a 'Raise an Issue' button.

 6. On the 'What is the issue?' screen, select 'Correction in Certificate.'

 8. Continue by clicking the Continue button and submit the form.

Please keep in mind that a person can only amend their certificate once before the changed information appears on their final certificates.
