Jharkhand: Poor Road Connectivity Forces Woman To Be Carried To The Hospital On A Cot For 12 Kilometres

Ranchi: A woman was forced to be carried by her family members on a cot for 12 kilometres as the road connectivity was poor in the area and had no ambulance service.

This incident has taken place at Gadai Diyara Village in the Sahibganj district of Jharkhand

The woman was allegedly being carried to the Sadar hospital by her family members on a cot as there was no other choice.

As per the reports, the family members had called the emergency helpline number 108 to request an ambulance after the woman's health deteriorated. To their disappointment, they were informed that there was no ambulance available.

Interestingly, the MLA from Barhait Vidhan Sabha, which falls under the Sahibganj district, is none other than the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren.

In other news, several women and children of a locality recently came up with a novel way to draw the attention of the government to the potholed roads near Hoshangabad Road in Bhopal. They performed a catwalk on the potholed roads and made the video viral on social media.

The roads in Danish Nagar, a locality on Bhopal-Hohangabad Road are in bad shape which has angered the local people. Several women from the families residing in the posh locality came up with this unique protest by dressing up for a catwalk on the streets along with their young daughters. Women walked on the potholed roads carrying placards with various slogans written on them highlighting the condition of roads.
