NEW DELHI: WWE superstar JohnCena mourned the sudden demises of Indian TV and film actor Sidharth Shukla.

On Saturday Cena has posted a picture of Sidharth on his Instagram a day after Sidharth's funeral took place in Mumbai.

Many people has thanked John Cena for the post which left Indian fan emotional.

A fan said, "Thanks Cena for the post." Another added, "John sir you are great person." A user also wrote, "Respect John Cena."

In 2020, ahead of the season 13 finale, John had extended his support to Asim Riaz by sharing a picture of the actor on Instagram.

Asim's team shared his post on the actor's Instagram account and had thanked John. "Thanku @johncena for posting the pic on ur ig, it means a lot coming this from a legend like you. It's a dream come true! Always watched you growing up and admired your wrestling and acting. A day to remember," the caption read.

40-year old TV and film actor Sidharth Shukla who died on Thursday after he suffered cardiac arrest, was cremated on Friday at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. On Thursday, at 10.20 AM the Cooper Hospital in suburban Juhu declared the 40year old actor brought dead when he suffered cardiac arrest. More than hundreds of people gathered outside of the crematorium ground to witness the last rites of Sidharth.

The actor's mortal remains left Cooper Hospital around 1.20 pm in a hearse decorated with marigold flowers and amid heavy police security and crowds of people hoping to catch a last glimpse of the actor. Shukla's mother Rita and his colleagues, including actors Aly Goni, Asim Riaz Paras Chhabra, Mahira Khan, Abhinav Shukla, Jay Bhanushali with wife Mahhi Vij, were among those inside the crematorium.

Besides daily soaps, Shukla also participated in reality shows, including "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6", "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7" and "Bigg Boss 13". In 2014, Shukla made his Bollywood debut with the Karan Johar-produced "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" where he had a supporting role.
