New Delhi: On the 36th Raising Day National Security Guard (NSG), Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the NSG personnel and their families. He said that it plays a very crucial role in India's security system.

Often referred to as 'The Black Cats,' NSG is the "Federal Contingency Deployment Force" which deals with all the terrorist activities in the different parts of the country. It was established in 1986.

Modi tweeted, "On their Raising Day, greetings to National Security Guard personnel and their families. NSG plays a crucial role in India's security apparatus. It has been associated with utmost courage and professionalism."

India is proud of NSG's efforts to keep the country safe and secure, said PM Modi.

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister also greeted the NSG on Twitter. He said NSG has always protected India with their courage, bravery, and dedication.

Assam's Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also took to Twitter to salute the NSG personnel for their selfless service to the nation.
