

NEW DELHI: Petrol will be now cheaper by Rupees 25 in the state of Jharkhand as announced by Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren but conditions will be applied.
Only people with rations cards can enjoy the benefit of the huge concession by the Jharkhand government on Petrol and it will be limited to 10 litres per month.
On Wednesday 29 December, CM Soren stated that the state slashes petrol by Rupees 25 for only two-wheelers which will a big relief for the people. The riders of motorcycles and scooters in Jharkhand can enjoy the benefit of lesser petrol price.
As per a notice by Soren, this new price will be implemented in the state from 26 January next year and till then it will remain the same as of now, at present petrol cost Rupees 98.52 per litre.
The cash subsidies upto Rupees 250 on buying of fuel will be provided to beneficiaries every month through DBT (Direct Bank Transfer) informed the Chief Minister. According to the Jharkhand government official, around 62 lakhs people of the state will get advantages from this scheme.
On the Twitter handle of the Jharkhand CM's office, Soren posted a notice where he mentioned that with the rise in the prices of petrol and diesel the middle class and poor families are getting highly affected. He stated that despite having e motorcycle people can't ride it being unable to afford the petrol.
The government of Delhi in the month of November this year had reduced the Value Added-Tax (VAT) on petrol by making its price decrease by Rupees 8.
The party of Hemant Soren JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) rose into power in the year 2019 along with its alliance parties Rashtriya Janata Dal and Indian National Congress by winning 47 seats in a total of 81- members State Assembly. The major announcement was made on the completion of 2 years of the Soren government.
