
NEW DELHI: India celebrates 75 years as a Republic, honoring the leaders who created the Constitution and built the foundation of democracy, dignity, and unity. On this special day, the nation looks back on its progress and renews its commitment to the values of the Constitution.
In his heartfelt tribute to the makers of the Constitution, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised their work in creating a thriving democracy. He called on the people to recommit themselves to creating a more powerful and affluent India, stressing the value of upholding the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India's accomplishments over the years and credited the people's resolve and perseverance for their success. He stated on X, "Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity and unity. May this occasion strengthen our efforts towards preserving the ideals of our Constitution and working towards a stronger and prosperous India."

Praying for the continued progress & prosperity of our country," Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's X post stated.
Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday unfurled the national flag at Kartavya Path on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, followed by the national anthem with a thunderous 21-gun salute using 105-mm Light Field Guns, an indigenous weapon system.
