DULIAJAN, June 6: The workers of old Dirial Tea-Estate on Monday staged a protest in front of their office for three hours demanding justice for the death of a worker due to alleged lack of ambulance facility on time from the Tea-Estate Dispensary. According to sources, Luchen Murah (30), son of Arun Murah, resident of Dhora llne, old Dirial Tea-Estate collapsed on Monday morning as he was suffering from fever since last few days. His brother immediately called for the ambulance from the estate hospital. But the hospital could not provided the ambulance on time for which the temporary worker of the tea-estate Luchen Murah died at home. After getting information in this regard, the irate workers assembled and demonstrated in front of their mager’s office and demanded justice. Later the angry workers submitted a memorandum to the mager of the tea estate.
