NEW DELHI: In the Chuhadpur neighbourhood of the Bhiwadi section of the Alwar district, four persons were detained for reportedly brutalising and raping a female calf on February 10.

The gruesome rape video has gone viral onsocial media, triggering unrest in the town.

The video shows one of the defendants raping a calf lying on the road as the other restrains it from moving. The footage was taken by a third person

The event occurred in the Chaupanki police station area, according to the investigation. Fateh Mohammad, a native of Chuharpur, has filed a complaint against four people, according to ASP Vipin Sharma.

Police in Rajasthan have detained four people: Zubair, Talim, Waris, and Chuna, and are investigating the case. According to authorities, the suspects were arrested under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

According to Singh, the calf has undergone a medical checkup.

All of the defendants are between the ages of 20 and 22. A medical checkup was performed on the calf. The accused claimed that the act was carried out for amusement, said Alwar Superintendent of Police Shantanu K Singh.

Protests erupted almost immediately after the incident was made public. Thousands of people from all walks of life marched in Tijara, Rajasthan's Alwar district, on Wednesday, handing over a memorandum to the local government demanding harsh punishment for the case's defendants.

At least 5,000 people attended the rally, which called for justice and harsh punishment for the accused.

Tijara is part of the Mewat area, which also covers portions of Rajasthan and Haryana. Cow smuggling, clashes between the police and smugglers, and mob lynching instances have all been recorded in the region in the past.
