Ramos says Real Madrid to head into CL fil in best form

Madrid, May 22: Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has expressed his confidence that they will head into the Champions League fil against cross-town football rivals Atletico Madrid on May 28 in the “best form of the season”.

“We’ve got to prepare well for the match and we’ve got time to do that, so I think we’re heading into it in our best form of the season,” Efe quoted the defender as saying on Saturday.

“I think we deserve to be in the fil in Milan,” the Spanish intertiol added, noting that his side’s road to the fil was not easy, as Real Madrid faced “great teams” like Paris Saint-Germain and then knocked out “a top side” in Manchester City in the semi-fils.

“We’re pleased that our hard work has reaped rewards despite the ups and downs we’ve had.”

On Atletico, Ramos said: “We’ll play in the fil in Milan against a great rival and that’s very satisfying.

“We’re expecting a tough match with lots of intensity, played at a very high level.”

Ramos added that his side has to be “completely concentrated” since the fils “are decided by the small details” and won by the team which “makes the fewest mistakes”. IANS
