Revocation of Article 370: This is how Modi government prepared to bifurcate J&K

The historic decision of revocation of Article 370 and 35 (A) was taken and implemented at the parliament on Monday. the very session of introducing the proposal in the Rajya Sabha and then finally getting it passed after an unending uproar, debate, support and denial in the house in itself is a historic moment. however, nothing was so easy and the Home Minister Amit Shah did not just come up in the morning and thought of putting the proposal, it took a long process of preparations, in the military, political and party front as the government would also have to look at the security matters of Jammu and Kashmir.

By the time the historic decision of Jammu and Kashmir's transition into a union territory was made in the parliament in the national capital, National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval was personally present in Srinagar to make sure that no hostile situation gets to be created in the state. Furthermore, the Modi government had deployed 2,000 sat phones, drones, 35k troops:

With the scrapping of Article 370 and the end of special status which was so long been enjoyed by the state and its citizens, this is quite obvious that the decision will not be accepted so easily by the J&K people. the government too has thus prepared likewise to tackle the violence that might be erupted in the valley in the sudden revocation of Article 370.

As stated by the top functionaries of BJP, the preparations for the scrapping of Article 370 had begun much before with the drafting of the manifesto for the 2019 general elections. The government, with inputs from RAW chief Goel’s July 11 visit and NSA Doval’s July 23 visit to the Valley, decided to proceed with its plan. At the same time, Army chief General Bipin Rawat had also visited Kashmir in June and in July to keep his army commanders ready. There was a high-level meeting among Doval and the three military and the three intelligence chiefs (including NTRO) in this matter, on July 24.

Likewise, the home ministry, in last week, sent 2,000 satellite phones because as per the plans the phones and internet connections were to be cut in the valley. Notably, the valley has been kept cut off from phone and Internet services since Sunday.
