Lucknow: Two girls were allegedly gang-raped in a cybercafe in Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in the district of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the two girls had gone to the cyber cafe to get photocopies of some of their documents. In a horrific turn of events, the two girls were allegedly held hostage and gang-raped in the cyber cafe.

Earlier this month, the Dombivali Police in Maharashtra booked at least 29 persons, including juveniles, for the repeated gang-rape of a 15-year-old girl in Thane for several months.

According to reports, the victim's boyfriend had allegedly forced her to have sex with him sometime in January and recorded the incident.

The video was later shared among his friends who used the clip to blackmail, threaten and repeatedly rape the girl over the next eight months.

The girl was also compelled to accompany the perpetrators to various locations in Dombivali, and other towns like Rabale, Badlapur, Thane and also at a remote farmhouse, where she was repeatedly raped. Some of the perpetrators are reported to have political connections.

The police lodged a complaint after receiving a tip-off from anonymous sources and arrested the perpetrators. Two of them are said to be minors.

The girl is currently undergoing treatment and her condition is said to be stable.
