Two youths killed in road mishap at Duliajan

DULIAJAN, Dec 24: Two youths died in a road accident took place on Wednesday night at around 10 pm near Khermia road under Duliajan police station.  The deceased have been identified as Kaushik Baruah (20), son of Haren Baruah, resident of 1 No. Jagun Pather under Duliajan police station and Raj ndan Saikia (18), son of Sushanta Saikia, resident of Jaypur Tea-Estate under Joypur police station. According to sources, Kaushik and Raj ndan were returning from Tengakhat Bhekulajan after attending the birthday party of Kaushik sister’s son and on the way to Duliajan near Khermia, their bike went out of control and hit a tree. Both the youths received serious injuries on the head and chest. Locals rushed them to OIL Hospital but Kaushik died at night while Raj ndan succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning. Kaushik Baruah and Raj ndan Saikia were HS students at OIL India HS School, Duliajan and harkatia College respectively. Duliajan police sent the bodies to AMCH, Dibrugarh for post mortem.
