Veteran sports jourlist Rupak Dutta receives award

Golaghat , January 18: The Utpal Kalita Memorial Award was given to veteran sports jourlist of Golaghat, Rupak Dutta. A function was held on Sunday at Chandrath Khound Bhavan, Dergaon in Golaghat district under the aegis of Dergaon Press Club.  Rupak Dutta who has been serving as a jourlist for more than four decades, especially in the field of sports jourlism, was honoured with the Utpal Kalita Memorial Award. The award consists of cash Rs 10,000, seleng , sofura and books along with a letter of appreciation. In the same award ceremony, veteran artist Joyram Ligira was conferred with the Kedar Rabidas Award. In the programme officials of Dergaon Press Club, All Assam Jourlist Union Golaghat District Committee president and secretary, officials of Dergaon Sahitya Sabha and several other distinguished guests were present.
