New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nishikant Dubey on Monday slammed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his purported “no need of war” remark in the wake of Pahalgam terror attack and said people should find out whether Karnataka CM is a “patriot or a traitor.”

“Whether Siddaramaiah is a patriot or a traitor, people should find it out...I do not need to ask anything from Rahul Gandhi, I have faith in my Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defence Minister,” Dubey told ANI.

Siddaramaiah on Sunday clarified that he did not mean a complete no to war and that it should take place if inevitable. He also said that the government should have provided proper security to tourists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Twenty six people were killed in terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam earlier this month. India has taken slew of measures against Pakistan for its support to cross-border terrorism.

Dubey also reacted to Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Tariq Hamid Karra’s reported remarks relating to talks with Pakistan.

“Unko aarti utaarni chahiye... Pakistanis will kill our people, and we will perform their aarti,” Dubey said.

Karra later stated that his remarks had been misinterpreted and his stand is same as that of senior party leaders.

Earlier today, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad launched a scathing attack on Congress, saying that while the party has said they are with all the government’s decisions, certain Congress leaders have uttered incorrect and insulting statements regarding the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Even Congress has said that they are with every step of the government; this is a sign of a mature democracy, and when the country is in trouble, we should all stand up. I remember when 26/11 happened, I had strict instructions from the party that I should take only one line, ‘that we are with the government’, even during an interview on an international channel, I had said this is not the time to settle political scores,” Prasad said.
