GUWAHATI, Nov 11: Guwahati will host ITF Juniors- the World Ranking Tourment for Boys and Girls in the 18 years age group from November 16. The meet will be organized by the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) in its complex at Chachal. Players from U.S.A., Russia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Taipei and India will take part in this championship. In Singles the main draw will be of 32 players of which 24 will get direct entry based on their ranking, 4 will come from the Qualifying Rounds and another 4 will be given Wild Cards. The Doubles will have a draw of 16. The challenge from Assam will come from Parikshit Somanì in the Boys, who is likely to be seeded 4th as he will be a Wild card entrant, and from Priya Kalita in the Girls who is now placed in the 10th position. Raktim Saikia, the president of the AATA informed the media that the AITA has appointed Saikat Roy of India as the Chief Referee and AATA Secretary Ankush Dutta will be the Tourment Director.
