Mumbai: At least 30 men including 2 juveniles were arrested after they allegedly raped a 15-year old girl reportedly over a period of nine months.

This incident had taken place in Dombivli, Thane in Maharashtra.

To investigate the horrible incident a special investigation team was formed.

Earlier in January the victim girl was first raped and filmed the incident by her friend. Later the friend blackmailed her and repeatedly raped her.

It is alleged that the accused later shared the rape video with his friends who then blackmailed the minor girl and raped her.

Police said after the incident a group of men had allegedly raped her in different locations in Dombivli.

"It all started when the friend of the girl raped her in January this year. He also made a video of the criminal act. He started blackmailing her on the basis of that video. Later on, his friends and acquaintances gang-raped her at least on four to five occasions at different places, including Dombivili, Badlapur, Murbad and Rabale in the district," said Dattatray Karale, Additional Commissioner of Police (East region).

The victim on Wednesday knocked the door of police. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Earlier in Bhopal in a case of vendetta-rape, two brothers have gang-raped a minor girl as revenge for their sister's rape by the minor girl's brother. The first victim of rape was the teenage sister of the two brothers. The teenage girl was raped by the minor girl's brother 7 months ago. This bizarre series of rape cases have taken place in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. The boy who is accused of the first rape case is currently in jail. However, the two brothers of the rape accused decided to rape his minor sister as revenge.
