KERALA: An 85-year-old man died at a hospital in Malappuram after recovering from coronavirus. He tested negative for coronavirus on April 7, 10 and 13, Malappuram District Collector Jafar Malik told media. "He was under observation in the ICU and in the last two days there were lot of complications. Due to his age and earlier diseases the doctors tried their best but he expired at 4 in the morning," he added.
The man was undergoing treatment for coronary artery disease kidney ailment and diabetes.
He died from these complications and the death will therefore be not treated as COVID-19 death.
Funeral services will be carried out as per protocols set during lockdown but no COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, claim reports.
