Actor R Madhavan has reacted sharply to the news reports that mentioned that the elderly owner of 'Baba Ka Dhaba', Kanta Prasad has been duped.

As per reports, Prasad, the elderly owner of the now famous 'Baba Ka Dhaba' in South Delhi, has filed a police complaint against the food blogger, Gaurav Wasan for alleged misappropriation of funds which were raised to help Prasad run the eatery.

"Elderly owner of Baba ka Dhaba duped in Delhi? Now, this is often the type of thing that provides people 'a reason to not do good'. Unacceptable. Now if this fraud couple is caught and punished..FAITH is going to be restored.. @DelhiPolice full faith in you," the actor tweeted from his verified account.

He also added that he agrees wholeheartedly that Gaurav Wasan has indeed done a righteous work by highlighting the old couple's plight.

Prasad had alleged that Wasan had intentionally shared only his and his family/friend's bank details and mobile numbers with the donors and picked up an enormous amount of donation through different modes of payments without providing any information to him.

Wasan denied the allegations against him and said that he has transferred the entire amount to Prasad's account. Earlier, Gaurav Wasan also shared his bank statements on Facebook through his official page Swaad.

Needs to be mentioned here that Wasan is the person who had highlighted the sorry plight of Prasad and his shop post the lockdown and help had poured in.
