Guwahati: Speaking about her relation with Amar Singh, actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada has put light on many factors and between the two on Friday. She even made it very clear to the media that Amar Singh for her is like her “godfather” and also added that people will not stop talking dirty about them even if she ties him a rakhi and makes him her brother.
Jaya Prada added, “So many people have helped me in my life and Amar Singh ji is my godfather.”
The veteran Bollywood actor even made allegations on another politician alleging him of attempting acid attack on her. As per her allegations, senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and Rampur MLA Azam Khan had once attempted an acid attack on her. The alleged MLA had started the Rashtriya Lok Manch along with Amar Singh as he was being expelled from the SP.
The actor turned politicians said these while in a conversation with author Ram Kamal at the Queensline Literature Festival. She added, “Because the state I was in, contesting elections with Azam Khan, as a woman, with acid attack threats, threat to my life… I couldn’t even tell my mother if I would come back alive whenever I left from home.”
She also complained that none of the politicians came out in her support and in fact, Mulayam Singh did not even care for giving her a call. Notably, morphed pictures of the politician had gone viral which had defamed her personality. She confessed that that was a bad phase of her life and failing to deal with the allegations, she had even attempted suicide as well.
To this, she added, “Amar Singh was on dialysis and my morphed pictures were being circulated in the region. I was crying and saying I don’t want to live anymore, I want to commit suicide. I was going through that trauma and no one supported me.”
She further added that Amar Singh after coming out of his dialysis stood next to her and supported her. This only indicates that he is none other than Godfather to her. She also added that even if she ties rakhi to him, people will not stop talking about them. Hence, she does not even care for people now.
