Amitabh Bachchan seeks help for Assam flood while donating Rs 51 lakhs to CM Relief Fund

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has already shown enough instances of his generous nature towards the disaster-stricken people whether it is due to the natural calamities or for some other reasons. right from helping in repaying the loans of the farmers of the country to making monetary donations to the flood-affected people in Kerala and Assam, the senior Bachchan is a hero in real sense. Notably, the megastar has made a donation of Rs 51 lakh for the flood-affected people in Assam by transferring the money to the Chief minister’s Relief Fund.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal took to express his gratitude towards the Bollywood star by making a tweet. The Twitter post reads: “We appreciate Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji for contributing Rs. 51 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This is a great gesture & show of care for the people. Thank you, on behalf of the people of Assam, for your support.

Replying to the CM's tweet, Mr. Bachchan tweeted that Assm at present is going through a bad phase as the floods have caused great damage to its people. He, hence, requests people to send care and assistance for the brothers and sisters. He has also taken to request everybody to make generous contributions to the CM relief Fund.

The request to help Assam flood affected by the senior Bachchan has come after a range of Bollywood celebs made donations and requested the people of the nation to extend a hand of help to the flood-affected people of the northeastern state.

Before this, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar provided a sum of Rs 1 crore as a donation to the people of Assam, along with also contributing an equal amount for the animals of Kaziranga National Park. not only this, the actor had asked people to do something for the flood-affected people rather than simply reacting and feeling bad about the victims.
