APJ Abdul Kalam or Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is known as the Missile Man of India. He was born on October 15th 1931 in Tamil Nadu and the day of 15 October is also celebrated as World's Students Day.
The reason for being the Missile Man in India is his contributions to the growth and progress of the programs related to India's Missile and nuclear weapons. Motivated by Chandrayaan 1 another lunar mission was decided which was named Chandrayaan 2 with the purpose of completing the work of Chandrayaan 1. Chandrayaan 3 is going to be the third lunar exploration though it was a failure once in the attempt of a soft landing.
He was one of the presidents in India who had earned much love and respect as a political leader for his patriotism. APJ Abdul Kalam won the Bharat Ratna Award in the year 1997 and the award of Padma Vibhushan in the year 1990. He had served as a teacher and even took his last breath while delivering his valuable lecture in Shillong in the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong.
