Arnab Goswami derailed suicide probe: says Anvay Naik's kin

Mumbai: Adnya Naik, daughter of Anvay Naik and wife, Akshata claimed they had sent written applications to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) seeking justice.

"We made applications to various people including the PMO and SP, Raigad, to get justice for my father,' Adnya Naik said.

She claimed that the suicide case of her father was 'suppressed only because of Arnab Goswami'.

Adnya and her mother said that they don't want to indulge in any sort of politics and neither do they know any political party or persons.

They requested for justice for their deceased family members.

Meanwhile, Akshata Naik confirmed her husband had mentioned three people including Goswami in his letter.

Alibaug Police arrested Goswami from his residence on the charge of abetment to suicide of the 53-year-old interior designer.

Adnya and wife of Anvay Naik thanked police for taking action against Goswami and requested for a thorough investigation.

Police said as per the suicide letter, Arnab Goswami, Feroz Shaikh of IcastX/Skimedia and Niteish Sarda of Smartworks owed Naik's company Rs. 83 lakh, Rs 4 crore and Rs 55 lakh respectively.

Maharashtra Home Minister demanded a fresh probe of the case in May this year after a complaint by Adnya Naik.

Goswami was arrested on Wednesday and sent for 14-day custody.
