Mumbai: In a major development to the cruise drug bust which Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating presently, a city-based businessman has claimed that he was privy to how Aryan Khan was framed up in the alleged drug bust case on a cruise ship.

Reportedly, speaking to Marathi news channel, the businessman named Vijay Pagare claimed that Aryan Khan was intentionally framed in the case by some people to make money.

Pagare also claimed that he knows the people involved in this case and asserted that it was pre-planned raid. He also that Special Investigation Team (SIT) has recorded his statements on November 3 and 4.

Earlier, an independent witness named Prabhakar Sail used by the NCB, had alleged that some officials of the department had demanded money for letting off Shah Rukh Khan's son.

The Bombay High Court on October 28 had granted bail to Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Seth Merchantt in the Mumbai cruise drug bust case.

Khan was arrested by the NCB on October 3.

During the hearing, Additional Solicitor General of India (ASG) Anil Singh, who was representing the NCB pointed out that Aryan was found in 'conscious possession of contraband.

"Aryan Khan is a regular consumer of drugs. There is evidence to prove that he has been providing drugs," Singh said.
