Assam's Pride Hima Das Touched Hearts of Audience in KBC 11

GUWAHATI: B-Town’s Big B, Amitabh Bachchan quizzed Assam pride Hima Das, and ace sprinter Dutee Chand in his popular quiz based show Kaun Banega Crorepati 11, on Friday.

The duo was also joined by the legendary cricket player Virender Sehwag.

The ‘golden girls’ touched the heart of the audience with some heart-wrenching stories that they shared about their struggling days, that left the audience in tears.

One such incident that Hima shared was about her visit to the Czech Republic for earning gold for India. During that time, her mother was undergoing surgery in India, and she could not be by her side when she needed her daughter the most.

Hima also said that, when she received the historic gold medal at the World Championship, she rang her father to inform him about her biggest achievement.

Interestingly, to which her father replied that it was too late in the night and advised her to sleep.

In a special round arranged in the episode, Dutee Chand was asked about her favourite actor by an audience. Without a thought, she took the name of Amitabh Bachchan, which overwhelmed Big B.

As the show further proceeded, Big B also showcased a collage video of Hima Das and Dutee Chand, on their winning moments and said that the country is proud of them.

It must be mentioned that in the episode, the trio won prize money of Rs. 12,50,000 which they have donated to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS Foundation) which is an entirely free residential home for the poorest of the poor indigenous children.
