"Be Ready To Kill Modi", Huge Uproar Over Congress Leader's Remark
According to sources, A police investigation against Mr. Pateria, a former state minister, has been ordered by the Madhya Pradesh government.

NEW DELHI: Raja Pateria, a senior member of the Congress in Madhya Pradesh, sparked a huge uproar with a speech in which he encouraged his audience to "murder" Prime Minister Narendra Modi if they wanted to "defend" the Constitution. He instantly emphasises that he meant "defeating" instead of "killing," but that hasn't really helped. In the midst of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Congress is experiencing a significant backlash when some BJP leaders demanded the arrest of Mr. Pateria.
A police investigation against Mr. Pateria, a former state minister, has been ordered by the Madhya Pradesh government. It was described as an "unpardonable crime" by a union minister. Rahul Gandhi has been singled out by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who claims in a video that "the actual face of people purporting to perform a Bharat Jodo Yatra is coming out."
In his widely shared words, Mr. Pateria addresses what looks to be a group of party members and says: "The lives of Dalits, tribal people, and other minorities are in jeopardy because Modi will abolish elections and split society based on religion, caste, and language. Prepare to assassinate Modi if the constitution is to be saved."
The Congress leader asserts later in the same video that the term "murder" in his address signifies failure. He asserted that he adheres to Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of nonviolence and that, in order to defend minorities, it was imperative to defeat PM Modi in elections.
The Pawai town in the Panna district is where the footage has surfaced.
Chief Minister Chouhan claimed that the remarks revealed the "true spirit" of the Congress. "Respected Prime Minister Modi is the object of the nation's adoration and faith, and he is a living presence in the hearts of the people. People in Congress can't compete with the PM in the election, and one Congress leader discusses the murder of the PM. The height of jealousy is this. This is a lot of hostility. The true feelings of Congress have been made clear, but such behaviour won't be accepted. An FIR is being filed, and the legal process will play out, "explained he.
