Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda recovers from COVID19.

Earlier, the party leader was tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and been following all the guidelines for home isolation.

The BJP leader took to microblogging site- Twitter, "I thank everyone for their wishes, prayers and moral support during my illness. My family members and I have now fully recovered from COVID-19. We whole heartedly thank Dr Randeep Guleria, Dir AIIMS and his team for their dedication & continued support in these challenging times."

Many political leaders took to Twitter to wish BJP chief a speedy recovery from Covid-19.

Nadda, who began his 120-day nationwide tour earlier this month, was recently on a two-day visit to Bengal. He held several meetings with party office bearers and workers. He also visited a number of places in the poll-bound state. During his travel to Diamond Harbour, he had also come under attack from what BJP claims were "TMC goons".

Commenting on the tweet put out by JP Nadda, BJP General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh said: "Get well soon Sir . Party needs your active guidance at the earliest. Take care. Our wishes & prayers are with you."

On August 2, former BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah had tested positive for Covid-19. He said that he was fine but was "getting hospitalised on the advice of doctors'. After over three weeks, Amit Shah recovered from coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Nadda made a few organisational changes in the party by reassigning the responsibilities of some of the functionaries loaned to the party from its ideological parent, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

According to a party leader these changes are in line with the process of building a new team and strengthening the party's presence across states.

In September, Nadda announced a new national team that had 12 vice presidents, eight general secretaries, three national joint secretaries and 13 secretaries apart from 23 spokespersons.
