Bomb Threats Received By Dhirubhai Ambani School In Mumbai
A phone call was received on the school's board number at around 4:30pm on Tuesday.
MUMBAI : A bomb threat call was received by Mumbai's Dhirubhai Ambani School situated in Bandra Kurla Complex.
The police informed about the happening on Wednesday, stating that a phone call was received on the school's board number at around 4:30pm on Tuesday. A case has been registered in the Mumbai police department and investigation has been initiated.
Soon after the call got disconnected, school authorities informed the cops immediately. A team of police arrived at the school premises subsequently, along with a Bomb Detection and Bomb Disposal Squad.
However, the concerned personnel announced that the area was out of danger. The Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam, informed that an FIR has been registered under section 505 (1) (B) and 506 of Indian Penal Code.
According to sources, the caller threatened about a time bomb that has been placed inside the premises. Meanwhile, the concerned department has traced down the miscreants location and a team of police is underway to nab the accused shortly.
Notably, in October last year, the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital got a call from an unidentified person who threatened to blow up the entire hospital. The situation turned chaotic after the call on 5th of October, Wednesday 2022.
Furthermore, the miscreant also threatened to kill Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani. The person called from an unknown number at around 12:57 pm noon in the hospital's landline number. A case was registered in the DB Marg police station.
In another episode, in August 2022, a jeweller was apprehended by the police after he allegedly tried to create a havoc by calling up the hospital and warned to take away lives of Mukesh Ambani and his family members. In 2021 February, an SUV with explosives was spotted near Ambani's south Mumbai residence.
However, the accused were arrested for the same including a police officer, Sachin Waze, in connection with the matter.
