Guwahati: Union Minister of Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday asserted that Arunachal boy, who was allegedly abducted by the Chinese PLA last week will be handed over to India soon.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, the minister apprised the same and said, ''Hotline exchanged on Republic Day by Indian Army with Chinese PLA. PLA responded positively indicating handing over of our national and suggested a place of release. They are likely to intimate date and time soon. Delay attributed to bad weather conditions on their side''.

On Wednesday 19 January, Arunachal Pradesh MP Tapir Gao took to Twitter and informed that a 17-year-old from Arunachal Pradesh has been abducted by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China.

According to the MP, the teenager has been identified as Miran Taron from the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The MP informed that Miran was abducted on Tuesday 18 January from the area of Lungta Jor that comes under the Siyungla location.

According to reports, the state authorities got the information of Miran's abduction as one of his friends named Johny Yaiying somehow managed to escape from the clutches of PLA and reported to officials regarding the kidnapping of his friend Miran.

Both Miran Taron and his friend Johny Yaiying are local hunters and are a resident of Zido village in Arunachal Pradesh.

The state MP also informed that the kidnapping incident occurred very close to the area where Tsangpo River (upper stream of the Brahmaputra River in China) enters India through Arunachal Pradesh.

Tapir Gao said that he spoke about the matter with the Union Minister for Home Nisith Pamanik and urged him to take quick and required action in the abduction case of the teenage boy.

In order of tracing the lost boy with the aid of the Indian government, the state MP in his tweet tagged Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
