With this, a question arises- What if I don't like my grades?

To this the solution is any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis, will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. So if you want to be re-evaluated, you can do so once the pandemic ends.

This news has come as a sigh of relief for students and parents who feared attending exams due to the rising numbers of Covid cases.

Earlier, the Centre has decided to postpone the CBSE Class 12 board exams and cancel the CBSE Class 10 exams in view of the coronavirus situation.

The announcement comes after a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which was attended by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, education secretary, and other officials on Wednesday.

Taking to Twitter, Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said "The Board Exams for Class XIIth to be held from May 4th to June, 14th, 2021 are hereby postponed. These exams will be held hereafter."

Several students had earlier urged the government to postpone the CBSE board exams as a slew of restrictions and lockdown-like curfew were imposed in many states amid a surge in Covid-19 cases.
