COVID-19 update: When will vaccines be ready?

GUWAHATI: Vaccines will be crucial for coronavirus infection. The COVID-19 pandemic has left people infected and dead all around the world. Most countries in the world are in a lockdown. In many countries funeral homes are facing paucity of space.

According to various reports, trials are taking place in England and Scotland. Experts their are working with Ebola drug.

The first human trial for vaccine was announced by a US lab in Seattle. They have fast tracked the process and have skipped animal research.

Scientists in Australia have injected ferrets with two possible vaccines.

India will participate in WHO's vaccine trials to check coronavirus infections.

“We have indicated our willingness to become a part of vaccine trials as and when they start for our population. Earlier our numbers were small and our contribution would have been minuscule," Raman R. Gangakhedkar, head of epidemiology and communicable diseases at ICMR told media.
