Eknath Shinde Led Rebel Camp Visits Kamakhya Temple, To Return To Mumbai On June 30

Guwahati: After waiting in the flanks for nearly eight days amid the political storm sparked by Shiv Sena Minister Eknath Shinde's rebellion, the rebel MLAs are likely to return back to Mumbai by June 30.

The rebel MLAs paid a visit to the historical Kamakhya temple in the morning hours to offer prayers.

It is to be noted that the Shinde faction has been lodging at Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati since June 21, 2022.

Meanwhile, BJP leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on June 28 to discuss the prevailing political scenario in the state.

Fadnavis also submitted a letter to the Governor, wherein he requested him to ask the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government to prove its majority in the 288-member Assembly.

The ex-CM claimed that the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress coalition government seemed to be in the minority as a majority of the Sena MLAs had said that they had withdrawn their support from the MVA government.

Fadnavis also visited the central BJP leadership in Delhi to hold a meeting to discuss the saffron party's strategies with the central leadership, including Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda.

Rumour has it that President's rule or fresh elections may take place and there are prospects that the rebel camp could merge with either Raj Thackeray-led MNS or the Prahar Janshakti Party, which is supporting Shinde.
