Faridabad: CBI Personnel Transferred Back To Guwahati Over Brawl With Security Guard

Guwahati: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has moved back one of its officials to Guwahati for fighting with a security cop during a party in Faridabad.

According to reports, CBI Inspector Ashish Solanki was sent back to his parent department office of the Chief Commissioner, GST and Customs of Guwahati territory.

Solanki was apparently getting involved in a fight with the security man when he was attending the party on Sunday.

As per the CBI, Solanki was swanking about his professional status of being a part of the CBI while he was challenging everyone out there at the party flaunting his rank.

As soon as that very moment, the Faridabad police were called and he was taken to the city police station. The local police informed senior CBI officials that Solanki also fought with a handful of people while attending the gathering. The seniors concluded to take measures against the CBI official who was taken immediately after his inappropriate behaviour.

The police said that the accused were produced in a local court followed by sending him to judicial custody. The police further stated that the incident occurred on Sunday night around 10:30 pm. A department examination into the incident has also been commenced.

Solanki joined the investigating agency on April 13, 2022, as an inspector on his deputation from the Customs and GST department of the office in Guwahati. He took charge of the Bank Security and Fraud Branch in the CBI and was residing in Faridabad.

The sources also revealed that by putting in a zero-tolerance policy, he has been posted back to Guwahati's GST department as there were adequate grounds based on which he was sent back to the city.
