New Delhi: Union Minister of Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar will introduce bill in the Lok Sabha to repeal the three controversial farm laws which was brought last year and witnessed huge criticism from farmer community.

Earlier, in this month, while asserting that government failed to convince a certain section of the farmers, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of the laws.

Notably, today, while speaking outside the parliament ahead of the commencement of the winter Session, Modi said that government was ready to discuss and reply to all queries about all the issues.

"The government is ready to debate any issue and answer any question. We should debate in Parliament and maintain the decorum of the proceedings," Modi added.

Around 36 bills are expected to be passed in the 25-day Winter Session of parliament.

Several opposition party, including those parties, who are close to Bharatiya Janata Party, seem to be standing with the farmers on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) issue.

Partiesw like Trinamool Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, YSR Congress Party, Biju Janata Dal, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Aam Admi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, and the Left parties are the those parties who joined Congress in seeking legal guarantees on the MSP.

Meanwhile, farm unions have suspended tractor march to parliment today saying they will first wait for the promised repeal of the three farm laws to be implemented.

Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has urged the government to restart the dialogue process and sought a written assurance that its other demands would be met, including a legal guarantee that all farmers will get minimum support prices for their crops.

Apart from Farm bill, the other bills to be passed in the session include the crucial Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021, and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill.
