From Bank to LPG to WhatsApp: Key Changes From November 1

NEW DELHI: Various changes affecting the common man are going to impact their life starting this November 2021. These rules pertain to banking, financial and other sectors.

The commercial Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders' price has been hiked today by Rs. 264. Similarly, the Bank of Baroda (BoB) has promulgated a new rule, that also into effect from today, that the customers would have to pay fees if they withdraw money more than 3 times in a month.

The BoB also enacted a rule that the customers would also have to pay fees in case of deposit too if they cross a certain limit.

The State Bank of India (SBI), on the other hand, has made the life certificate submission process a change. For customers of the State Bank of India, a new feature to submit a life certificates has come into effect.

Pensioners below the age of 80 will have to start submitting their life certificates or Jeevan Pramaan starting from Monday, November 1. The last date to do so has been fixed at November 31, as of now. 

The announcement of the SBI would give a major relief to the pensioners. Meanwhile, several companies would, reportedly, open Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) from today that may bring smiles to the investors.

On the other hand, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders have gone up by Rs 265 per unit. With this increase, the price of one commercial cylinder has crossed Rs 2,000 in Delhi, while it is priced at Rs 1,733 in Mumbai.

However, as of now, no change in prices of domestic LPG cylinders has been notified.

Further, from today WhatsApp will stop working on some iPhone and Android phones. The messaging app will not support Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0.
