Govt Announces Rs 50,000 Cr Equity Infusion for MSMEs through Fund of Funds

Guwahati: Government of India has announced that face severe shortage of Equity and Fund of Funds with Corpus of Rs 10,000 crores will be set up.

The Government will now provide equity funding for MSMEs with growth potential and viability.

FM also said that for MSMEs needing handholding, a Rs 50,000 crore 'fund of funds' through 'mother fund - daughter fund' framework is being created, to expand their capacity and to get listed on markets which they choose.

This, the Government says, will help to expand MSME size as well as capacity and will encourage MSMEs to get listed on main board of stock exchanges.
