Govt. extends validity of Driving licence, permits and registration until June 30

GUWAHATI: Due to lockdown, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has extend validity of Driving licence, permits and registration that expired since February 1st 2020.

Such documents are to be treated as valid till June 30th 2020, the Ministry said.

The decision has been taken due to nationwide lockdown amid coronavirus pandemic that has left many parts of the world paralyzed including India.

"The decision is taken to facilitate people facing difficulties in renewing the validity of various motor vehicle documents due to nationwide lockdown in the country and closure of government transport offices," the Ministry said in a tweet.
