Haryana 'Langaar' team feeds hungry cops on the National Highway

Karnal (Haryana): As farmers clashed with police over their march to Delhi to protest against the farm laws, a heartwarming video has surfaced online from Karnal, Haryana, where the 'langaar' team of a Gurudwara served scrumptious meal to a large number of policemen.

In the video, dozens of policemen dressed in uniform, some with lathis, are seen to be seated facing each other in two long rows.

Volunteers from the 'langaar' can be seen serving rice, dal, vegetables and other food items to the policemen.

In the video, more and more policemen could be seen arriving and settling down to eat, using their safety vests as a mat to sit on.

Although voices are muffled, at one point in the video, someone could be heard saying, "thank you, thank you, thank you."

It is unclear if the Gurudwara providing 'langaar', which is located along the National Highway 1, is in any way connected to the protesting farmers or not but the video presents a welcoming gesture to the chaos that is unfolding around 120 km away and proves that humanity is the need of the hour and empathy must prevail from all sides.

Farmers from several states- including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab – began to march towards Delhi on Thursday. They were confronted by the police who tried to create all sorts of blockage for them to stop them from passing.

The cops set up barricades wrapped in barbed wire and sand-laden trucks, dug up roads to act as trenches.

This morning, visuals emerged of farmers putting aside their concerns and moves police barricades out of the way to let ambulances through.

Thousands of farmers reached Delhi border on Friday morning to protest regarding the Centre's agricultural laws which was passed by the Parliament recently.
