Heated argument over washing a tiffin box delayed Bengaluru Air India flight by an hour

Bengaluru: Air India flight delays by an hour after a weird argument between flight captain and a cabin crew. The flight, Bengaluru-Delhi AI 772 was scheduled to fly from Bengaluru on time. But then a visibly bad argument between the cabin crew and the flight captain reached such an extent that the flight had to be delayed and depart after one hour.

The unprofessional behaviour of the crew member and the captain has made Air India to de-roster them.

Reportedly, the crew member and the captain fought over the matter of washing a tiffin box. Allegedly, the captain asked the crew member to wash his tiffin box at which the crew member got offended.

The reason behind the incident has also been confirmed by an Air India official. The official further informs about initiating an investigation into the matter. Both the crew members are being summoned by the airline authority for questioning which will further bring the issue into light.

The aviation regulator, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is also informed about the incident.

Air India, being a leading airline service provider of India flies to over 60 international destinations apart from covering more than 30 domestic airports based in India. On such grounds, the unprofessional behaviour displayed by the crew members of the flight in front of the passengers looks particularly pathetic and condemnable. Hence, the airlines authority must also keep in mind the comfort zone of the passengers while taking a decision on the punishments to be given to them.

The unethical behaviour of the crew members often degrades the standard of the airline as before this, a case of sexual harassment was alleged against an Air India commander. an anonymous letter from an insider was being sent right ahead of the promotion of the senior pilot that kept the process of his promotion on hold.
