NEW DELHI: The Indian Navy has reached new heights in the sector of Indian missiles and their development as now the Indian defence can bolster the most lethal cruise missile BhahMos to the world with a more advanced version.

On Saturday 5 March, the Indian Navy successfully test-fired the accuracy of the advanced new version of one of the world's fastest supersonic cruise missiles BrahMos.

The validation of the Ramjet Supersonic Cruise Missile was conducted from the INS Indian Navy Chennai.

The advanced version of the missile extended long-range precision strike capability from the medium-range capability.

Indian Navy shared the news through Twitter writing that the Long-range precision strike capability of an advanced version of BrahMos missiles has been successfully demonstrated.

The tweet added that PinPoint's destruction of the target demonstrated combat and mission readiness of frontline platforms. The Indian navy concluded the tweet mentioning another shot in the arm for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The INS Chennai and BhahMos Missile are set up indigenously and both highlight the shipbuilding skills and the cutting edge of missiles in India.

This victory of the Indian Navy shows the ability of the forces to hit even deeper and portrays the skills of the navy to influence land operations in different areas away from the sea at any time and anywhere.

Ramjet Supersonic Cruise Missile can be launched on different platforms starting from ships, submarines areas, aircraft or land areas.

It may be mentioned that regular tests are carried out in BrahMos missiles by the Indian Navy.

Earlier in the year 2020 in November month, the Navy forces conducted a test of the version of the land attack of the BrahMos ramjet supersonic cruise missile from Andaman and Nicobar Island.
