Guwahati: As the nation grapples with the challenges of Coronavirus pandemic, photographs of Corona Curry and Mask Naan has taken the internet by storm.
On a purpose to start awareness campaigns to encourage people to wear face masks, maintain social distancing, and wash their hands regularly, the food industry has also taken measures to spread awareness by coming up with special dishes in the restaurants.
The Government of India has made it compulsory to wear masks in public spaces to prevent oneself from catching the virus. Yet, there are many who would prefer skipping the mask or wear it wrong.
From coronavirus-shaped burgers and cakes to cocktails and mask-shaped parottas, Corona Sandesh food menus have come up with creative ideas to raise awareness about the deadly viral infection.
As per reports, a restaurant in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has come up with two special coronavirus-themed dishes to its menu. The Vedic multi-cuisine eatery is selling Covid Curry and Mask Naan to its customers.
Notably, the Covid Curry is malai kofta in which koftas are shaped like the particle of coronavirus, and the Mask Naan is a simple naan which is given the shape of a face mask.
"Your health and safety is our top priority. We are taking full measures on hygiene and sanitation with take away offering at our outlet. We have introduced touchless menu, social distancing, and other safety procedures at our restaurant..," Vedic Multi-Cuisine Restaurant stated.
Meanwhile, Twitterati has erupted in cheers at these unusual culinary delights. "Mask-shaped naan with 'corona-curry'! Kha lo fraaands", wrote one user.
