Karnataka Man Held For Unnatural Sex With Cow

Bengaluru: The Karnataka police on Monday apprehended a man over the charges of having unnatural sex with cows in Bengaluru.

As per a report by IANS, the accused is identified as 34-year-old Manjunath, a resident of Gejjalagere village near Maddur town in Mandya district.

The accused was nabbed by Chandra Layout Police on a complaint by his friend who caught him red-handed.

As per police, the accused had developed the habit of having unnatural sex with cows for which he would travel to Bengaluru University Jnanabharathi campus from his village.

He used to take cows to isolated places, and bushes and commit the crime.

Following such incidents, Manjunath's family disowned him and later he came to Bengaluru and stayed at his friend's place.

While staying at his friend's place who kept cows at home, the accused had cut off the tails of the cows and had unnatural sex. Later, the accused friend named Shashikumar watched his movements and caught him red-handed.

The police have booked the accused under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and presently he has been sent to judicial custody.

In a similar incident in May this year, another such incident came to the fore as police apprehended a 23-year-old for allegedly indulging in unnatural sex with a calf in Sarala under Kadamtala police in the North Tripura district.

The arrested youth, who was a daily wage earner, is identified as Halim Uddin from Kotamoni, Patharkandi in south Assam's Karimganj district.

As per reports, the incident took place in the Bangaljum area of Sarla GP, where Halim was deployed to work as a labourer at a water supply project in the area, and allegedly took the calf to a hidden place when no other worker was present at the worksite.

However, while taking the cow away, a kid from the neighbourhood reportedly saw him and alerted a few local residents. Following this, the locals rushed to the place and allegedly found him having sexual intercourse with the animal, caught him and apprised the police of the same.

After receiving the same, a police team from the Kadamtala police station reached the spot and arrested Halim.

The reports further claimed that a case has been filed under Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code and under the relevant section of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
