Kerala Man Who Hid Girlfriend In Room For 10 Yrs, Finally Marries Her

KERALA: A man of Kerala who kept her lover hidden in a single room for last 10 years without anyone's knowledge, got married legally on Wednesday.

The man identified as Rahman and his lover is Sajitha.

After the wedding the local MLA identified as K Babu received the newlywed couple along with Sajitha's parents. However, the parents of Rahman was absent at the function as they were against the marriage.

Earlier in February 2010, Sajitha reportedly gone missing after she went to visit one of her relative's house. After the incident a missing dairy was also registered with police but police failed to trace her.

However, according Rahman and Sajitha, she was hiding in a room which was 100 meters away.

She was hiding in a small house having three rooms and a kitchen.

A there were no attached bathroom, Sijatha reportedly used to get out of room though window at night.

On June 07 of this year, a truck driver Basheer have seen his brother Rahman riding a motorcycle in Nenmara town around 30 kilometres from Palakkad. Reportedly the family members didn't see Rahman since March 10. The brother of Rahman then informed police.

When police detained Rahman who is a houe painter, he went to his rented house at a nearby locality called Vithanassery. When they reached at the spot they found the girl Sajitha who is 35-years old.

During interrogation she revealed that she was missing had been missing for 11 years from the same police station limits.

The Kerala State Women's Commission had even registered a case against Rahman saying that keeping a woman in captivity was against law. According to the police, the woman was looked after by the man during her 10-year-long stay in a room at his house in Karakkattuparamb.
