Lalu Prasad’s Son want Divorce Six Months after Marriage with Aishwarya Rai

Guwahati: Tej Pratap Yadav, son of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad, has confirmed the rumours that he is taking a legal separation from his wife Aishwarya Rai who was married to him just for six months. Notably, the marriage of Tej Pratap and Aishwarya was a much-talked wedding who had got married on May 12.

Confirming his divorce news with Aishwarya, Tej Pratap said that he had filed for divorce from his wife of six months on Friday. He states, “It is true that I have filed a petition. Ghut-ghut ke jeene se toh koi fayeda hai nahi (No point living a life of misery).”

As stated by Tej Pratap’s lawyer, the primary reason behind the divorce decision is ‘incompatibility’. The lawyer Yashwant Kumar Sharma said, “I cannot give much details. I was only told by my client that he and his wife were not compatible and hence he wanted a divorce.”

The divorce file has been sought to invoke Section 13 A of the Hindu Marriage Act. Tej Pratap’s lawyer who filed the petition on behalf of his client at a civil court in Patna further states that under this Act, either spouse can unilaterally seek a divorce.

Notably, the Tej Pratap-Aishwarya wedding was a quite grand and star-studded wedding with VVIPs and VIPs making a rush. In fact, Lalu Prasad Yadav, groom’s father who was serving sentences in fodder scam cases during the wedding, too had flown in from Ranchi obtaining parole from a court. Leaders from all political parties including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan were among the chief guests of the wedding.
