Locals beat up fake sadhu for molesting a girl in Telangana's Nizamabad

Hyderabad: A fake sadhu, who pretended to possess magical powers and claimed to cure her of a mental disorder, allegedly molested a 15-year-old girl. He was beaten up by the locals in Nizamabad of Telangana. The locals said that the fake sadhu has been exploiting her at least from the last three months.

The accused would drug her, and abuse her in the name of meditation inside an isolated room, said the locals.

The minor girl has recently complained of abdomen pain. The doctor after check-up discovered that the girl was pregnant.

After knowing about the incident, the locals along with women activists went to his home and beat him up with bare hands, sticks and even a broom. When he tried to run away to the road, the people chased him.

The girl was sent for medical examination, and the fake sadhu was arrested by the police. He is being questioned by the police. A case of rape and cheating was filed against the accused.
