Bhopal: The Madhya Police has arrested one Munir for his alleged involvement in human trafficking and sex trade racket.

Munir's confession has come as a matter of shock to all. Munir admitted that he had been involved in this trade for about 5 years. He would trap about 55 girls every month and later exploit them by using them for extortion. He also claimed that most of his targets were Bangladesh girls and women.

About 200 Bangladeshi girls have been brought into India by Munir as of today.

According to news reports, Munir is a resident of Jasore in Bangladesh. During the interrogation, Munir confessed that he married as many as 75 girls in Bangladesh to not come across as a suspicious person and sold them off in India.

The girls were trafficked to India through a drain that lies on the border of the two countries with the help of a few agents who are residents of the small villages located along the international border.

A reward of Rs. 10,000 had also been announced on Munir who was later arrested by a team of Madhya Pradesh police.
