
NEW DELHI : Satya Nadella, the chairman and chief executive officer of Microsoft Corp, is in a four day visit to India to interact with customers and government officials.
On 5th of January, Thursday, Nadella held a meeting with PM Narendra Modi. He tweeted regarding the same and expressed his gratitude towards the PM. The meeting revolved around issues related to sustainable and comprehensive development being steered by digitalisation.
In his tweet Nadella mentioned about how the government through digital transformation has brought about comprehensive economic growth and development in the region.
Furthermore he asserted that the company is to realise the Digital India vision and be a light worldwide. Prior to this, Nadella while talking to the media appreciated the government's attempt in making India, a digitally sound country.
He is of the view that India has the capability to play a major role in enhancing the AI-powered platform. He talks about how India is leading in digital public goods. He claims how important role the large language model-based AI technologies like Dall-E and ChatGPT are going to play in the near future.
Nadella also met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on 4th of January, Wednesday. The minister mentioned about the meeting and expressed his happiness towards the same. During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed about governance and security in the digital domain.
During an event in New Delhi, on Wednesday, Nadella said that the company is very much committed to India. He there, mentioned about the development due to digitalisation in the field of education and philanthropic work.
Satya Narayana Nadella is an Indian-American Business executive. Prior to the CEO position, he was appointed as the executive Vice President of Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group. The CEO is married to Anupama Nadella and has three children.
